Aisha has a past that has caught up with her. Her efforts to get a baby with Sebastian (her partner) have been fruitless over time and this reality has begun to put a strain on their relationship. Her baby-fever won't leave her despite her achievements, Aisha feels incomplete - neither woman enough for Sebastian nor the mirror. Shiko, being a good friend, decides to step in and help her by volunteering to be a surrogate mother for Aisha’s child. Her lending hand becomes a ray of hope for Aisha and Sebastian's marriage. The In Vitro Fertilization process is successful. Miraculous Aisha conceives and the doctor says that her pregnancy is healthy. Shiko’s doctor discovers early signs of Down Syndrome a few weeks into her pregnancy. This new development scares Aisha and Sebastian. They feel they are not ready to raise a child with Down Syndrome. They now want Shiko their surrogate to terminate the pregnancy. Shiko is left feeling used and abandoned.
